After years of struggling with mental illness from deployments, Amanda looked for resources concerning parenting with PTSD or mental illness in general and didn’t find any. During the COVID-19 pandemic it became more apparent that this was definitely a need for parents. She decided it was time to create what is needed.
This is a great starting point. What is mental health? In this course you will learn about mental health which includes emotional, psychological and social well being. Mental health affects how we think, feel and act.
We all know parenting is hard. When mental illness is added in it makes it even harder. In our parenting courses you will learn to navigate taking care of your mental health while also caring for children.
The Wellness Recovery Action Plan is a plan that you put together for yourself that details what you need to do everyday to stay well, what to do when things start getting bad, who you will turn to for outward support if needed and so much more.
